I’m Elaine of Kiwi Baby Knits, handknitting clothing for babies and toddlers.

Growing up in a Wairarapa farming family, I learned to knit and sew from an early age, taught by my mother and grandmother. I’ve continued knitting throughout my life, later selling my babywear through shops in Hamilton, Tauranga and Taupō.

After retiring and moving to Rotorua, I discovered the Arts Village Collective and was delighted to find a local home for my handknitted creations.
