ARTIST PROFILE
PHILIP STEELE
I was given my first tool set at the age of four, and my father's workshop quickly became my playground. I became his apprentice while helping renovate our family home, developing a love of working with wood, the skills to create my own projects, and the confidence to explore more creative timber work.
Since retiring, I have repaired toys for the Rotorua Toy Library and become a member of the local woodturners club based at the Te Amorangi Steam and Settlers Museum.
I enjoy sharing my work through the Arts Village Collective.
